Verto Program Mailing
This brand activation and gifted welcome experience was developed for conditionally admitted students who spend their first year studying abroad before matriculating to LMU as sophomores. Drawing inspiration from travel, the packaging was designed to resemble vintage luggage, featuring patterned lining, illustrated latches and handles, and city-inspired stickers representing students’ study-abroad locations.
The box included a curated selection of branded gifts; a blanket, luggage tag, water bottle, drawstring backpack, and personalized notecard, intended to create a warm and meaningful introduction to the LMU community. Most items were sourced from existing inventory, making the project highly cost-effective.
I also created the tagline “Make Your Mark,” revealed upon opening to enhance the unboxing experience. This was a never done before experience and due to its success with the team at VERTO Education, this activation has become an annual project.
Orientation Kit Mailing
Due to COVID shutting down the doors of institutions, our in person Orientation had to move to an online format. I designed the website that would house the virtual sessions and also created this box that was sent to homes to signal the start of the celebrations.
Instead of going with a company that specializes in these types of mailings, I decided to partner up with my favorite local printers in Hawthorne, California and got to work on the prototype and kit items. This is the end result and it was a huge hit with the incoming students. I designed the box, sourced and ordered the promo items, and managed the production and fulfillment. The box included a custom tray that perfectly fit every component of this brand activation.
